Nanhong — 南红, "Southern Red" — comes from the mountains of Yunnan and the Tibetan Plateau. It has been collected and worn in the region long before it became a formal market category. The color runs from deep brick red to warm orange-red depending on the iron content of the stone, and no two pieces read the same.

This bracelet uses tumbled irregular pieces rather than uniform rounds. Each bead shaped by the natural contours of the stone, separated by bronze spacers. The result feels geological rather than manufactured.

Nanhong sits at the center of Tibetan stone culture alongside turquoise — the two colors, red and blue-green, appear together across centuries of jewelry, thangka painting, and ritual objects.
