Every TibetanSerenity piece is handcrafted in Tibet by local artisans using traditional techniques passed down through generations. Materials — including Tibetan silver, turquoise, agate, nanhong, and sacred woods — are sourced from the Tibetan plateau region.
Before shipping, each item is sent to a Tibetan Buddhist temple for a consecration ceremony, a practice central to Tibetan spiritual tradition. This is why our processing time is longer than typical online orders — it is part of what makes each piece what it is.
འབྲུག་གི་ལྡོག་གཤོག (druk ldog gshog) — the reverse scale — describes a single scale on the underside of a dragon's throat that lies in the opposite direction from all the others. Every other scale aligns. This one does not. Touch it, and you face what a dragon is actually capable of.
The ring maps this directly: hundreds of scales cast in pure silver, each one fitting against the next — and one, set slightly apart from the rest, rendered in a different tone. It is not decorative variation. It is the point the design is built around.
The silver is smelted at high temperature until it liquefies — impurities dissolving out as the metal becomes liquid — then cast and worked through successive stages: filing, annealing, detail refinement, polishing. Each pass removes what shouldn't be there. The open-band construction means the ring adjusts to the finger rather than requiring an exact fit.
The couple's version pairs one small and one large ring. The two reverse scales face each other when worn together. The inner band of each ring can be engraved — a date, a name, a line — at no additional cost.
